Sunday Snapshots

I've heard a lot on the internet about what a good cleaner vinegar can be. So I mixed up a bottle of 1/2 vinegar and water and went to town on our kitchen and bathrooms. While the sink looks pretty good, our house smells like a giant easter egg now and I'm not totally sure it got everything clean. Did I do it right? If you use vinegar, please help me out with some suggestions here!

We are starting Phase 1 of the South Beach Diet tomorrow, which is 2 weeks without carbs and sweets. Do you know how hard it is to plan a week of meals {breakfast, lunch and dinner} that do not involved any form of pasta, bread, or fruit? Do you have any good recipes for chicken? Please share them with me... I'm not sure how many times I can get away with the menu of: grilled chicken, salad, veggie. My husband will greatly thank you for sharing!

I'm thinking about trying Hale Bale Gardening. Any ideas of where to get a bale of hay? The only place I can think of where I live is Tractor Supply and they're $12. Is this a good price? I may have grown up in the panhandle, but I don't know much about hay!

Off to carb load before we start the diet tomorrow... hope you have a great week!

  1. Yummy and quick way to cook chicken...
    Sprinkle with this mixture:
    2tsp ground coriander
    2tsp ground cumin
    2tsp garlic powder
    2tsp ground nutmeg
    2tsp onion powder
    2tsp ground thyme
    1tsp ground basil
    1tsp groung oregano
    1tsp salt

Usually I mix more than that and keep some in the spice cabinet for later.

After you sprinkle your chicken just saute it in a little olive oil. Remember...the fewer times you flip your chicken when you are cooking it, the more moist & tender it will be!

    Hope you enjoy!!!
