Six On Saturday

We finally watched Frozen tonight. While I definitely want to get the soundtrack, would y'all hate me if I said I liked it, but didn't *love* it as much as everyone else in the whole wide world seems to? It was cute and Cody and I both appreciated that it had a different type of "true love" that saved the day. I will probably give it another shot and definitely try to use it to entertain Griff, but I'm not sure we'll have it on repeat at our house. {frozen lovers, don't shot me!}

Cody was out of town for work on Thursday so Griff and I had a fancy lunch date. He's the man in my life who loves a McDonald's date!

Texas may have had one of our coldest and craziest winters, but spring has sprung and life is so good again. G man loves the outdoors and it makes the day so much smoother when we're able to spend a good portion of our day outside.  Presenting: the cutest bubble blower I know!

Cody and I started the T25 work out two weeks ago. We haven't done it every day like the schedule calls for, but have completed about 8 work outs. I thought I was slightly in shape from the work out classes I've been attending over the last 6 months, but T25 has greatly humbled me. If you see me out and about and I'm wincing, don't take it personally. You haven't done anything to offend me, I'm just in too much pain!

We also have a new addiction around these parts: 2048. Apparently it is being called the most addictive iPhone game since Flabby Birds, and I can understand why.

{actual screen shot from playing this afternoon as I tried to demolish cody's current high score.}

You are trying to combine the numbers by swiping in different directions to get the highest number possible (2048, duh.) Currently Cody and I both have made it up to a 512 combo. Sadly he has a higher  total score than I do, but I plan on changing that soon.  Do yourself a favor and give it a try.

It's 9:30. I think I'm about to go make me a cup of decaf coffee, pop a Tylenol PM  and then read until I fall asleep. I'm currently rereading The Mark of the Lion series but Francine Rives. If you haven't read these books, put them on your list asap! The first book takes a few chapters to really get into, but you won't be able to put them down once you get through the character's back story.  Pick them up peeps!
{or, check your church's library! I'm borrowing mine from there and they are practically brand new.}

How was your weekend?

  1. I'm also a little on the fence about Frozen. We bought it without seeing it, because the consensus from EVERYBODY was that it was "best Disney movie ever!!!!!!!" And I enjoyed it, but I didn't quite see what the huge deal was. It was good, but maybe not incredible. And even though Let it Go is a beautiful song, I'm a little leery of its actual message (no rules for me? the perfect girl is gone? let the storm rage on? hm.....).

    Glad to see I'm not alone in my feelings!
