a tidbit of our conversation tonight from our separate view points:
from abby's -
cody: so i've been thinking about it a lot and i've decided that i want to wear a tux to the wedding.
abby: REALLY? oh my gosh! that is so great! what made you decide this?
cody: i don't know. i've just been thinking about it and i really want to wear it.
here is where abby is swooning over the fact that cody wants to sport a tux and look incredibly snazzy for the greatest day of his life thus far.
from cody's-
cody: so i've been thinking about it a lot and i've decided that i want to wear chucks to the wedding.
abby: REALLY? oh my gosh! that is so great! what made you decide this?
cody: i don't know. i've just been thinking about it and i really want to wear it.
here is where cody is swooning that his lovely bride has somehow transformed into the coolest human being ever, and that his fabulous chucks idea went over well beyond what he imagined and didn't end up with a dramatic uproar from said lovely bride.
merge the two conversations here:
abby: well you probably need to go get fitted soon and rent it.
cody: what? rent something?
abby: yeah the tux. don't you have to get fitted for those?
cody: why do i need a tux? my parents are buying me a new suit for the wedding.
abby: but didn't you just say you thought about it and want to wear a TUX for the wedding?
cody: i don't want to wear a tux. i said my CHUCKS.
(insert dramatic uproar here)
Yeah, get used to this. I can guarantee that this will not be the last time y'all hear things from completely different perspectives. It's the beauty of marriage!
ReplyDeletebahahahahahahahah!
ReplyDeleteI am not laughing at you, but rather with you. It's not the first and won't be the last! I can just see us having the same conversation....
