I am so lucky.

I could not ask for a better family and am so thankful for the friends we have that are helping us through this journey.

The upcoming surgery is creating some great blogs in my mind. Hopefully this weekend I'll actually have time to write them out and share with you. For now, I leave you with this. My grandparents have friends that span the USA and Bami came up with the idea to send this out this picture and short letter to everyone so they would know to be praying.

Dear Friends,
Our granddaughter, Abby, is 25 years old and will
complete her Master of Arts in Family Ministry at Hardin-Simmons in May of this year. However, she is scheduled for open heart surgery on March 16 in
Cleveland, Ohio. Herschel and I are asking you to put Abby on your prayer lists and also her husband, Cody, and her parents, Tonja and Steve.
Abby was born with a heart defect and has had two previous surgeries. She is such a beautiful young lady with a heart for the Lord and His ministry. We know He has His arms wrapped around her and is holding her close in His care.
You are all very special to Herschel and me and we know we can count on you to keep Abby and her family in your prayers. Herschel and I will be going to Cleveland but we will stay in touch with First Baptist and keep you updated. We love each of you and covet your prayers.

In Christ,
Herschel and Ruth

Thanks B & B! We love you!

  2. Abby, that is such a great letter you grandparents sent out. I, and the Crosspoint community, will be praying for you as well.

PS I'm still looking up recipes. I'll let you know what I find!
