Introducing...

Cody Neinast, Assistant {to the} Assistant Dean of Logsdon Seminary!

I am so very excited to announce that Cody found out that he got a new job this week. Thanks to Bamps & Bami, we went out to celebrate at Red Lobster tonight.

Can you see the excitement in his face? (I should clarify, he's more excited about the food rather than the job at this point!)

Here's what high-rollers order :
I was cracking up through the whole meal because he made this face with every single bite he took! He was even cutting the steak into very small pieces to make sure that he got to enjoy it for as long as possible!

I told you he loved it!

Even though we were pretty stuffed, we still somehow made room for this:
I must apologize to all of my BL coworkers because I will probably owe money for gaining a pound this week, but oh my, it was totally worth it!

Cody put a huge dent in the cake! I'm actually wishing we had some of it to enjoy as we watch our movie right now! Thanks for giving us a great celebration dinner B & B! We enjoyed every single bite of it and are so thankful for the night out!

I am so thankful that this day has finally come for Cody. Over the past year gone we have gone through many ups and downs with six potential jobs, five of which ended up as a no. It makes for a very frustrating year. Even though we knew the Lord was always in charge and knew what the perfect job for Cody was, it was certainly not easy to keep waiting for it.

I am so proud of Cody and the way he has handled this situation. Working at the trophy shop is just about as glamorous as sounds and it has really been draining. It would have been easy for him to make his personal happiness a priority and quit, but I am so thankful that he was willing to keep working there so that we were financially provided for. I was technically the one that had the "real job" because I worked 40 hours a week and had benefits, but my job could have easily been his job. Had he not been on scholarship for seminary, then back when the job opened up I know he would have gone for it and would be a great recruiter.

Instead, Cody kept working at the trophy shop and going to full time to seminary, doing what he had to do so that we were still taken care of financially. I know that every job that resulted in a "no" made it hard for Cody to believe that this day would ever come and I feel like it's even more special because of those no's.

If you watch the Office, then you should understand his title. It's officially Assistant to the Assistant Dean of Logsdon Seminary, but we like to call him Assistant Assistant Dean. You are more than welcome to also leave the {to the} out. We understand what he will be doing because we're familiar with Logsdon, but it's hard to explain it to people who aren't familiar with our school. I'll actually wait a few weeks until he's actually working and then have him explain everything he does. He starts on February 3 and the day can't get here quick enough!

I'm so proud of you for sticking with it Cody! Here's to many new working adventures in the days to come!
