I just don't wanna be on the road again...
This week kicked off the second week of travel season and by Tuesday, I was sick of the car! You see, Monday I headed off to the great city of San Antonio for a fair for private, Christian schools. It was an easy drive and I experienced my first glimpse of Fredricksburg!
Tuesday I hopped in the car and headed for Dallas. In one day, I spent time in San Antonio, Austin, Waco and the Metroplex. For that reason alone, I don't want to be on the road again! Map wise, the drive looked super simple. Take I-35 all the way. That is exactly what I did. Even though there were plenty of cities and sights along the way (I had my first look at Baylor!) it was still an unbelievably long drive and I was very thankful to have 2 days in the Metroplex. I have one more fair tonight and then I'll return to Abilene tomorrow.
I'm trying to make the most out of this travel season and to keep an adventurous spirit. I am currently auditing a digital photography class, so when I saw a small flower shop on the side of the road full of pumpkins and gorgeous fall flowers, I took the chance to take a short break and grab a few pictures. It's my intention to document as much of my travels as possible, not only to remember what I see on the road but to also expand my photography skills.
I'll leave you with a couple pictures I have taken on the road and at the fair last week. I'm off to get ready for my last fair this week!
(p.s. - I did some minor photoshopping on these... I am not all that familiar with the program so if you think they look bad... please tell me! I'm learning here and could use some critiques!)
